GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
Green cities framework: Batumi Bus Project
This notice is an update to the GPN (8647-GPN-48104) published on the EBRD’s web-site on 13 April 2017.
Batumi City Municipality has received a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (the Bank) and a grant from an international donor for a project to expand the City’s fleet with diesel and electric buses to be operated by the Batumi Autotransport LLC, a municipal bus company. The proposed project has a total estimated cost of up to EUR 7 million equivalent. Contract for the supply of new diesel buses has already been procured. The project will further require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
- Supply of up to 10 low-floor electric buses (9 (+/-0.5m) m length) and chargers
Open tendering for the above contract is expected to commence in Q4 2018. Signature of any contract is subject to confirmation of Bank’s and donor financing.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank and an investment grant will be subject to the Bank's Procurement Policies and Rules and will be open to firms from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan and an investment grant will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
