Life in Transition Survey data

The Life in Transition Surveys are large, representative surveys of around 1000-1500 households per country, using the same questionnaires across countries. They are representative at the urban versus rural level and follow some of the same localities over time.

LITS IV was conducted in 2022-23 and covered 33 EBRD economies and four comparators.

LiTS III was conducted in 2016 and covered 31 EBRD economies and two comparators (Germany and Italy).

LITS II was conducted in 2010 and covered 29 EBRD economies and five comparators (France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and the United Kingdom).

LITS I was conducted in 2006 and covered 29 EBRD economies.
