Life in Transition Survey reports

Five publications have been produced, summarising some of the main results of the surveys.

In 2024, as an extension of the fourth survey round, the Life in Transition Survey was conducted for the first time in six economies in sub-Saharan Africa. This report provides a broad overview of the challenges and opportunities in those economies.

LiTS IV looked at inequality of opportunity, job quality (including access to benefits and stability), digitalisation (including use of digital technologies and digital skills) and attitudes to the green transition.

LiTS III examined life satisfaction, concerns about corruption, gender divides in education, labour markets and entrepreneurship and the impact of the crisis on households in Greece.

LiTS II looked at the impact of global financial crisis, life satisfaction, support for democracy and markets, governance and public service delivery, corruption and trust and gender differences in labour markets and entrepreneurship.

LiTS I examined material well-being as well as life satisfaction, the experience of transition, attitudes to the role of government, democracy and markets and corruption and trust.
