Star Venture has directly supported over 400 high potential startups in more than 30 markets, spanning the Southern and Eastern Mediterranean, the Western Balkans, Central Asia, Eastern Europe and the Caucasus, Türkiye and more recently, Sub-Saharan Africa.

Our impact
Since 2019, Star Venture has been at the forefront of the EBRD’s efforts to support high potential early-stage startups in emerging markets. The programme is active in more than 30 markets and has supported over 400 selected startups and 40 accelerators with the tools and resources needed to succeed.
73% of our portfolio startups have collectively raised over USD 850 million in funding during or after the programme and seen their average revenue grow sixfold, with more than three-quarters experiencing positive revenue growth.. A recent impact evaluation from the EBRD’s Office of the Chief Economist provides evidence of how our tailored advisory support boost funding, team expansion and market reach for startups in EBRD regions.
