Ma'an Solar Power Project

A group of nine workers of the EBRD-funded project Ma'an Solar PV Project (OP ID 44973) in Jordan submitted a complaint to IPAM on 26 May 2025. 
They raise allegations related to working conditions. They allege that in the past three years, there have been changes in the wages and benefits, they have been incorrectly classified for purposes of social security, and their working conditions have been progressively deteriorating. Furthermore, they allege that they have raised multiple complaints with the workers’ grievance mechanism, but no official responses or resolution have been provided. Finally, they comment that they have been indirectly threatened with workforce reduction if they continue raising demands for fair treatment. Therefore, they are requesting IPAM for confidentiality due to fear of reprisals and have asked for their complaint to be considered under the compliance function only.
