Become one of our international advisers

Are you an experienced director, industry expert, or a management consultant with 10 years of senior or extensive middle management experience? Are you prepared to travel to Ulaanbaatar, Beirut or Belgrade?

If you are looking to share the wealth of your business expertise with micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs), we can match you with businesses in need of your commercial know-how.

We help MSMEs to tap into international best practices and industry advice to improve their performance and grow.

Our clients come from almost all sectors: manufacturing, food processing, services, wholesale and retail, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, construction, software and hardware, and many others.

They play an important role in the local economy and have great growth and employment potential. They are dynamic companies with dedicated and passionate management.

Expertise

The expertise of our advisers in finance, operations, energy efficiency, sales and marketing, corporate governance, investment preparation, to name but a few, has helped businesses across all EBRD regions become more competitive, domestically, and abroad. This is where the experts like you with technical and industry know-how come into the spotlight.

These projects involve a strategic review of every aspect of the enterprise, and as such, often put forth a challenging agenda of diverse business needs. We often draw on more than one expert, putting together a specialised team to bring the specific expertise the enterprise needs.

The project

The team sets the objectives, milestones, schedule, and deliverables of the project.

A typical project lasts 12-18 months. As an adviser on our project, you can expect to travel, on average, every second month for around a week. Each visit from the adviser is supplemented by visit minutes, which outline the actions for the company and actions for the adviser to take in the time between visits.

At the end of the project, the team prepares a final report – not only reflecting on the work that has been done, but providing a roadmap to guide the client further and ensure that the recommendations are implemented after the end of the project.

Our advisers also bring their own extensive networks of business contacts, often providing connections that result in supplier/buyer and partner relationships and open up new markets.
