Filling the gap between appointments

After leaving the EBRD in 2020, I founded Oli help in 2023, shaped by my personal experience as a parent navigating the challenge of finding practical, everyday support for a neurodivergent child.

Before this, I worked across the private and public sectors, focusing on technology, product development and social innovation. But it was the parenting and practical support I could not find when I needed it most that led me to design Oli help. Supporting my son was never about finding one definitive answer; it meant moving through cycles of insight and overwhelm, readiness and resistance. What was missing was not information or effort, but timely support that could sit alongside the uncertainty and adapt to real life.

Oli help is an AI-powered companion to support parents, teachers and caregivers of children with diverse minds in everyday situations, particularly in times between appointments.

It translates clinical evidence into clear, actionable strategies that help adults better understand behaviour and respond more effectively over time.

We started with ADHD, with the wider ambition of supporting adults caring for children with diverse neurodevelopmental profiles, including in schools. Today, around one in ten children think, learn and experience the world differently, yet most adults around them receive little or no practical support.

Following initial traction in Italy, Oli help has recently launched in the UK. We also have a beta version for educators, focused on building more neuro-inclusive learning environments.

As we enter our next phase, we have launched an equity crowdfunding campaign to support international expansion, deepen AI personalisation and advance our clinical pathway. I chose crowdfunding to broaden access to impact investment, allowing individuals who believe in early, evidence-based support to help scale this model.

In light of the EBRD’s strong legacy of impact and inclusive growth, I wanted to ensure former colleagues and alumni had the opportunity to hear about the campaign early.
