Joint MDB Pavilion (various events) – 9 to 19 November, all day

The Joint Multilateral Development Banks (MDB) Pavilion at COP31 will provide a shared space for MDBs to engage with countries, clients, partners and stakeholders. Building on a shared commitment to accelerate climate action and sustainable development, the Pavilion will provide a platform for dialogue, practical exchange and collaboration. We invite accredited participants to visit and join our discussions throughout COP31. Anyone following the conference remotely can explore the full programme, watch selected livestreamed sessions and learn more about our activities at COP on our dedicated website.

The EBRD will be at the COP31 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Antalya, Türkiye, from 9 to 20 November 2026, to engage with governments, clients, partners and civil society, and to support climate action.

Türkiye is one of the EBRD’s largest countries of operation and a long-standing partner. The Bank is a leading provider of climate finance in the country, with cumulative commitments there of more than €26 billion to date.

The EBRD delegation to COP31 will include President Odile Renaud-Basso, Vice President for Policy and Partnerships Mark Bowman and Vice President for Banking Matteo Patrone, as well as senior representatives from Climate Strategy and Delivery, Banking and the Environmental and Social Department.

The Bank welcomes the Turkish Presidency’s Action Agenda, which aligns with the priorities of the EBRD’s Green Economy Transition Strategy – the energy transition, green industrialisation, climate resilience, country platforms and private-sector mobilisation.

The EBRD delegation will attend the Leaders’ Summit, “Towards a Sustainable, Resilient and Equitable Future”, and the COP31 Global Finance Summit, co-hosted by Bloomberg, the EBRD, the Glasgow Financial Alliance for Net Zero and the World Bank. The Bank’s delegates will also participate in the COP31 Business and Investment Summit, hosted by the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye, and support the welcoming of new partners to Türkiye’s Platform for Industrial Decarbonisation Investments and initial partners to Kazakhstan’s Platform for Just Energy Transition. In addition, the delegation will take part in events at the Joint MDB Pavilion and other COP31 venues.

The EBRD aims to ensure that at least half of its annual business volume supports the green economy, a target it has achieved in previous years. In 2025, the Bank delivered €9.4 billion in green finance across its operations.

Kazakhstan’s climate investment architecture: from a just energy transition to an integrated country platform

The EBRD is partnering with Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources and Ministry of Energy for an event marking the official launch of the Qazaqstan Just Energy Transition (QaJET) investment platform and presenting the country’s emerging climate investment architecture. As the first sectoral pillar of the wider Qazaqstan Climate Investment Platform (QCIP), QaJET aims to mobilise approximately US$ 20 billion of investment to accelerate Kazakhstan’s energy transition by adding 10 GW of new renewable energy capacity by 2035, including strengthening of electricity networks and storage, and electrification. Initial partners – both international and local – will sign the QaJET Partnership MoU, marking the start of the platform’s launch, with its operationalisation set to begin in 2027. The event will also explore priority areas for cooperation, investment opportunities and mechanisms for mobilising finance under QCIP, with a focus on advancing concrete projects and strengthening partnerships with development institutions, climate funds and investors. Location: Kazakhstan Pavilion, COP31 Blue Zone

REACT aims to facilitate up to US$ 100 billion of investment, while strengthening coordination between government, international partners and the private sector, and helping to align financing, technical assistance, policy support and project development around Türkiye’s clean energy priorities. The launch and signing event will mark the establishment of the platform with key partners and signatories. Location: Special Event Room 1 – Uzungöl, COP31 Blue Zone

The discussion will explore how country-led approaches can enable market transformation and mobilise public and private finance at scale. Speakers will consider progress and challenges in climate finance delivery, the role of the private sector, and how stronger cooperation and coordination at country level can help unlock investment.
