Request summary
On May 7th 2024, 25 residents of Grbalj, members of NVO Grbalj Bulevar, a registered organization created to raise concerns regarding the Main Roads Reconstruction Project (49075) in Montenegro submitted a Request to IPAM. The Requesters allege that the widening of the Tivat-Jaz boulevard will adversely impact their properties and local businesses. They claim poor impact assessment that will lead to increased traffic, noise, and accidents. In addition, they allege poor stakeholder engagement.
The Assessment stage for Case 2024/03 Main Roads Reconstruction in Montenegro (49075) had to be completed by 27 August 2024, within 40 business days from the registration of the Request on 28 June 2024. However due to key stakeholders’ limited availability during August 2024, to ensure full and proper processing of Case 2024/03, IPAM will conduct a site visit to Montenegro during September 2024 and aims at finalizing the Assessment stage by the end of September 2024.
