Project Description
Provision of a senior loan of up to EUR 75 million to UniCredit Leasing Croatia ("UCLC") under the Financial Intermediaries Framework.
Project Objectives
The loan will be used to provide leases to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in Croatia. It will also support the Bank's Green Economy Transition ("GET") approach by dedicating at least 60% of the facility to the financing of leases for green equipment and technologies in the commercial sector throughout the project life-cycle.
Transition Impact
Contribution to the objectives of the Financial Intermediaries Framework ("FIF"), supporting the Competitive and Resilient transition qualities. FIF seeks to foster MSME competitiveness by increasing availability of financing for MSMEs and to encourage sustainable financing practices, supporting the resilience of the financial system.

UNICREDIT LEASING CROATIA DOO
UCLC is the largest leasing company in Croatia both in terms of New Business Volume (~25%) and Total Assets (~23%) as of YE2018. UCLC is 100% owned by Zagrebacka banka d.d., Croatia and the ultimate owner is UniCredit SpA, Italy.

Environmental and Social Summary
Categorised FI (2014). UniCredit Leasing Croatia (UCLC) has been satisfactorily applying the Bank's E&S requirements under existing exposures. UCLC will be required to comply with PRs 2, 4 and 9, continue to apply the Bank's E&S Risk Management Procedures for Leasing Companies and submit Annual Environmental and Social Reports to the Bank via the Sustainability Index.
