The EBRD's first 30 years inspire a very special musical performance

By Jonathan Wells

A specially commissioned piece of music celebrating the 30th anniversary of the EBRD's creation has been performed at the Bank's new headquarters in London.

"30 Years of Changing Lives", composed and conducted by 19 year old student, Chester Tribley, opened the EBRD's 2021 Annual Meeting today.

Chester created the composition while studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

The piece was played by musicians from the celebrated Guildhall Session Orchestra on the 24th floor of 5 Bank Street, from next autumn the EBRD's new home in Canary Wharf.

Many of the orchestra's members come from countries where the Bank invests.
