Refuge in Jordan - a new life for Syrians

In this short documentary we follow the lives of those who have been helped by EBRD and internationally funded projects.

Forced to flee from fighting in Syria, more than one million refugees have now made their homes across the border in Jordan. 15 per cent of the live in camps, while the rest have started to build their lives across the country.

Khadija and her three children, Salam, Omar and Fatima, who came to Jordan in 2014, are four of the people featured. With the help of the EBRD, she is now enrolled in a cookery course in Amman and starting to rebuild the life for her and her family.

The EBRD’s refugee response in Jordan has been supported by: the European Union, the Republic of Korea, Taipei China, the United Kingdom, EBRD’s Southern and Eastern Mediterranean Multi Donor Account (Australia,Finland, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Taipei China and the United Kingdom).
