EBRD Senior Banker Ian Brown has been appointed head of the Bank’s office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and is starting his new role in Sarajevo today. Mr Brown is replacing Libor Krkoska who has taken over the EBRD’s activities in Cyprus as head of office in Nicosia on 1 August 2014.
Mr Brown has been a senior member of the Power, Energy & Utilities team since 2008. Between May and October 2012, he was acting head of office in Belgrade. Mr Brown has a degree in Economics and Business Administration from Sheffield University and an MBA from the University of Greenwich.
Mr Krkoska joined the EBRD in 1997 as an economist and later moved to the banking department. In 2008 he became head of office in Moldova and in 2011 was appointed head of the Bank’s representation in Sarajevo. Mr Krkoska has a PhD in Economics and an MA in Mathematics from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic.
