The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development’s Vice-President for Operational Policies, Jan Fischer, has asked for, and has been granted, unpaid leave from 1st August 2012.
His leave is to enable him to prepare for the start of a possible campaign for the Presidency of the Czech Republic.
This is in accordance with the Bank’s staff Code of Conduct and other internal regulations relating to political activities.
