
India became the EBRD’s 69th shareholder when it joined the Bank in July 2018.
The value of joint India-EBRD investment stood at €981.1 million as of end of February 2023. EBRD finance accounted for €784.2 million, and India investment accounted for €196.9 million.
The joint investment has been strong in Türkiye, Romania, Ukraine, and Georgia. Broken down by industry, the investment has been in financial institutions, and in industry, commerce and Agribusiness.
Since inception, the TFP has supported 217 export and import transactions of Indian companies for a total €167.21 million for transactions which were confirmed by banks in both India and abroad. Nine Indian banks and branches of banks have joined the programme as Confirming Banks (all figures as of December 2022).
From 2018 to 2022, entities from India won 20 procurement and consultancy contracts worth €38.9 million.
