Project overview

Provision of senior debt financing of up to USD 192 million to fund the construction and operation of a 900 MW wind power plant, located in Ras Shukeir, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt (the "Project"). The generated electricity will be sold to the Egyptian Electricity Transmission Company (“EETC” or the “Offtaker”) under a 25-year PPA.

Project description

The Project is expected to benefit from a first-loss risk guarantee from the European Fund for Sustainable Development plus (EFSD+) Hi-Bar guarantee programme. This programme contributes to projects in the European Neighbourhood supporting sustainable investments in energy transition.
