GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a sub sovereign loan up to MAD 130 million equivalent to EUR 12 million to the Region of Guelmim-Oued Noun in Morocco. The proposed project consists of improving drinking water supply for households in rural areas and the upgrade of four existing Waste Water Treatment Plants (“WWTPs”) to enable the reuse of treated water for watering green spaces in the Region.
The project has a total estimated cost up to about MAD 270 million, and will require the procurement of the following works:
- Water supply sanitation;
- Transformation of resources to exploitation drilling;
- Pipes supply and installation;
- Electrification works;
- Treatment works for existing WWTPs; and
- Watering network supply and installation for city parks and gardens.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the Morocco National procurement Law. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter VII of the Charter of the United Nations or under a law of official regulation of the Purchaser's country.
