Invitation to the public market consultations organised by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development in cooperation with State Enterprise Radioactive Waste

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (hereinafter referred to as the “Bank” or “EBRD”), administrator of the grant funds, is financing a project to support SERAW (the “Client”).

The general objective of the Programme is to implement all decommissioning in line with the needs identified in the decommissioning plans and with specific emphasis on managing the safety challenges. A detailed description of these challenges is provided in Annex 1 to Council Regulation (Euratom) 2021/100 of 25 January 2021, establishing a dedicated financial programme for the decommissioning of nuclear facilities and the management of radioactive waste, and repealing Regulation (Euratom) No. 1368/2013.

In order to manage, co-ordinate and monitor all aspects of the implementation of the ongoing and future activities related to the decommissioning of KNPP Units 1 to 4.

The Assignment of the Consultant is to ensure an integrated process of Programme management, engineering, procurement, contract administration, licensing as well as technical consultation and support during the implementation of the Decommissioning Programme of KNPP Units 1 to 4.
All procurement shall be subject to the provisions of the EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules (Rev. May 2022, https://www.ebrd.com/work-with-us/procurement/policies-and-rules.html).

In close cooperation with the Bank, SERAW is conducting market consultations with potential PMU Consultants to develop an optimal procurement and implementation strategy(ies).
