We are pleased to invite your firm to participate in an Early Market Engagement (EME) webinar for the upcoming implementation project of the Beineu–Bozoy–Saksaulsk (BBS) Highway in Kazakhstan, developed by JSC «NC «QazAvtoJol» (QAJ) and co-financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The main goals of the Webinar session are to:

• Present the Project Scope and Background, its key Objectives, and Technical Requirements,
• Outline the applicable Procurement Strategy, Procedures and Timeline of the project, and
• Gather market feedback on potential risks, challenges, and commercial structures before tendering begins.  

Project Overview

The BBS Highway Project is a strategic infrastructure project designed to improve connectivity, especially for international transit traffic, between Western China, Europe and Kazakhstan. This market engagement relates to the procurement of the following project components:

• Construction of a 160 km Section of the BBS Highway in Mangistau and Aktobe Regions,
• Construction of a 1.5 km Access Road to the village of Turysh in Beineu District, Mangistau Region, and
• Construction of an ITS facility (intermediate control arch) in Beineu District, Mangistau Region.

The project will be executed on a Design - Build – Maintain basis and is intended to be financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), and the Government of Kazakhstan. Procurement will be undertaken in accordance with EBRD Procurement Policies and Rules (EBRD PP&R), applying an open multi-stage procurement procedure with prequalification.
