Chroniques d'un âge de plomb
The newly published book Chroniques d’un âge de plomb (Chronicles of an Age of Lead, a reference to a period of political violence and social upheaval in Italy that lasted from the late 1960s until the late 1980s) is a collection of short and not-so-short articles originallypublished on Jacquelin’s blog (www.jligot.fr) over the last two years.
Jacquelin writes that “most pieces are born of anxiety, and their tone is sombre. Indeed, we have, more or less confusedly, the feeling that we are living in a twilight. The twilight of
an era, perhaps the twilight of a civilisation.
The book bears witness to my concerns about the survival of our planet, of our Western civilisation, and of my French nation in the face of the perils that beset them, and a
call in filigree to an individual and collective awakening.”
