Activities and services

Working closely with Bank leadership and business areas, the Association helps identify opportunities where alumni knowledge, relationships and insights can contribute to the Bank's work, while ensuring that relevant alumni-led initiatives are brought to the attention of management and aligned with the Bank's strategic agenda.

The Association's activities and services include:

• supporting Bank priorities through alumni engagement by connecting relevant alumni expertise, experience and networks with areas of strategic importance to the Bank.
• facilitating dialogue between alumni and Bank leadership to help identify opportunities for collaboration, knowledge-sharing and engagement on issues relevant to the Bank's mission and priorities.
• developing alumni-led initiatives that support institutional objectives and bringing forward opportunities where alumni expertise, networks or experience may add value to the Bank's work.
• providing access to specialist expertise and institutional memory through alumni with deep sector, regional and operational experience.
• supporting business development and relationship-building by facilitating connections between alumni, Bank teams and external stakeholders where appropriate.
• organising thematic events, fireside chats and discussions to promote knowledge transfer, exchange of experience and engagement between alumni, current staff and Bank leadership.
• supporting recruitment, mentoring and professional development by fostering connections between current and former employees and facilitating the exchange of expertise across generations of EBRD professionals.
• maintaining regular communications with alumni through newsletters, digital platforms and events, helping alumni stay informed about developments across the Bank and its regions of operation.
• supporting alumni networking and community engagement by providing opportunities for former staff to maintain professional relationships and remain connected to the wider EBRD community.
• providing a channel for alumni matters to be raised with the Bank, including issues related to healthcare arrangements, retirement benefits and other post-employment matters, and supporting constructive dialogue with management where appropriate.
