Jacqui Powell

Jacqui Powell is the Managing Director, Corporate Sector at the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. She took up this role in July 2026 and is responsible for driving delivery of the Bank’s strategy across the various sector teams and strengthening client relationships across the Bank’s regions.

Throughout her career, Ms Powell has led complex multi-region businesses with responsibility for strategy execution, performance management and regulatory engagement. 

A dual citizen of New Zealand and Australia, Ms Powell has almost 3 decades of international banking experience across Europe, Asia and the Americas.

She most recently served as General Manager, International for Westpac Institutional Bank, where she was based in London and led the bank’s businesses across the United Kingdom, Europe, the Americas and Asia. Prior to this she was based in Sydney where she held several senior leadership roles at Westpac.
