Managing Director, South-Eastern Europe
Grzegorz Zielinski is the EBRD’s Managing Director South-Eastern Europe, responsible for delivering business and policy reform in the six Western Balkans countries, Bulgaria, Romania, and Greece.
Mr Zielinski was previously the Director in the Sustainable Infrastructure Group, where he led the Bank’s Energy Europe team, promoting the EBRD’s mandate and supporting the green energy transition through investments and policy engagement across Europe.
Prior to this role, Mr Zielinski was the Country Director for Poland, with his responsibilities subsequently extended to include the Baltic States and other countries in Central Europe.
Later, he became Regional Director for Central Europe and the Baltic States, overseeing the Bank’s activities in eight countries and managing five EBRD offices across the region.
Mr Zielinksi, a Polish national, began his career at the Bank in the Power and Energy Utilities team, where he led investments across multiple geographies and later took on responsibility for renewables investment coordination and regional coverage for Central Europe.
