Olívia Cirne Lima Cardoso, an Italian and Brazilian national, is a Compliance Principal at IPAM. She is an experienced professional with a strong background in environmental and social governance.
Before joining the EBRD, she led and supported environmental and social initiatives in sectors such as mining, energy, agribusiness, infrastructure, and manufacturing worldwide. Olivia has worked closely with development finance institutions and project developers to ensure alignment with international standards and to promote responsible investment.
Her professional experience includes conducting environmental and social due diligences, preparing red flag reports, developing and monitoring environmental and social action plans, and overseeing environmental and social impact assessments in countries including Kazakhstan, China, Nigeria, Angola, South Africa, Brazil, Argentina, and Guyana. She has also built strong expertise in managing conflicts between communities, including indigenous peoples, and infrastructure projects.
Ms. Cardoso holds an MA in Human Geography from the University of São Paulo, a BA in Geography, and a second undergraduate degree in Environmental Management.
