Annual Meeting 2026 Proceedings

The EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum 2026  took place between 5 and 7 June in Riga, Latvia. Under the theme Volatile to versatile – economies innovating in a changing world, it brought together Ministers, government officials, financial and corporate executives, entrepreneurs, civil society and media from all over the world.

The Bank’s Governors engaged in a Roundtable discussion covering three key topics: the Bank’s present and future activity in Ukraine, its scope to support its countries of operations in mitigating the impact of shocks stemming directly and indirectly from conflict, and advancing economic governance in the EBRD’s countries of operations. These matters are covered in the Resolution The EBRD: Rising to the Challenge in Turbulent Times, which was adopted by the Governors.

An update was also given on the progress of the capital increase that was approved in 2023, whose primary objective was to enable the Bank to deliver exceptional support for Ukraine in wartime and subsequently in reconstruction whilst also increasing its support for other countries of operations. With 94.97% of the total shares available subscribed to, the subscription period was extended to 31 December 2026.
