Serbian dairy producer invests in energy-efficiency upgrades
Investing in more efficient equipment and solar energy allows us to reduce our costs and continue growing, while preserving the quality and traditional recipes that our customers value.
Milk House started as a small family business near Niš, processing around 500 litres of milk a day using traditional recipes. Today, the Serbian dairy producer processes around 100,000 litres daily, supplying customers across the country while preserving the methods and flavours that have shaped its success.
As the company has grown, so has the need to make its production more efficient. With support from the EBRD and the European Union (EU), Milk House is investing in solar energy and modern equipment that will help reduce energy costs, improve productivity and support the company’s continued growth.
The investment was made through the SME Go Green programme, under which the EBRD provides financing alongside EU-funded grant incentives to help small and medium-sized businesses adopt greener technologies.
For Milk House, the upgrades are an opportunity to combine tradition with a more sustainable approach to production – strengthening the business while preparing it for the future.
