The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU) are helping Albania strengthen its tourism sector through investments in infrastructure, local businesses and skills.
In Berat, improved roads and bridges are making key attractions more accessible, including Tomorri National Park and the historic fortress. Support is also helping family-run wineries, agritourism operators and other local entrepreneurs develop new experiences for visitors and grow their businesses.
These investments form part of the €100 million Albania Infrastructure and Tourism-Enabling Project, financed by the EBRD and the EU. By improving connectivity and strengthening the local tourism offer, the programme aims to create jobs, support communities and make Albania a more competitive destination.
