Keeping Ulaanbaatar warm through the winter
With support from the European Union, Austria and Japan, we are modernising the city’s district heating system so homes and businesses can depend on the warmth they need.
When temperatures in Ulaanbaatar drop to -40C, reliable heating is essential.
Together with the European Union (EU), Austria and Japan, we invest in the city's district heating system to keep residents warm through the winter months.
By providing reliable heat for homes and businesses, these investments are helping deliver a service people depend on every day, while also building infrastructure that is ready for the future.
