A modern kitchen powered by the sun
At KumKuma, sunshine is helping power the kitchen, bringing modern Armenian flavours to the table with lower energy costs and a smaller carbon footprint.
At KumKuma restaurant in Gyumri, modern Armenian dishes come with a secret ingredient: sunshine. A rooftop solar system is helping power the restaurant’s busy kitchen, cutting energy costs and reducing its carbon footprint.
The investment was financed through Inecobank under the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line, with EU-funded grant support and expert technical guidance helping the restaurant make the switch to solar.
KumKuma is one of hundreds of businesses across Armenia supported by the EBRD and the European Union (EU) to invest in modern technologies, improve efficiency and grow more sustainably.
