Author: Dima Hamdallah

We’re creating cleaner water for irrigation and healthier communities, improving the lives of 6 million people.

The Kitchener drain is one of Egypt’s largest and most vital drainage systems, stretching 69 km through the fertile Delta region. Supported by the EBRD and the European Union, this landmark project is transforming lives by tackling pollution and improving solid waste management.

From dredging canals to building transfer stations, rehabilitating landfills and introducing modern waste collection systems, we’re creating cleaner water for irrigation and healthier communities, improving the lives of 6 million people.
