EBRD and EU support frozen pastry producer in Georgia

Author: Nina Tsintsadze

From Georgian khachapuri to French baguette, Food Alliance, a frozen pastry producer in Georgia, ensures that every day starts off on the right note.

The company manufactures two types of bakery product: bread, mostly French, and pastry, both traditional Georgian and French. It supplies seven tonnes of pastry a day to restaurants, cafes, hotels and schools.

Food Alliance is one of over 300 companies that the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Union (EU) have supported with modern equipment since 2017 under the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line in Georgia. The company has accessed finance via Bank of Georgia, the EBRD’s partner financial institution, and received an incentive grant from the EU upon successful completion of its investment plan. Food Alliance also received consultanting services to further grow their business.
