Date: Tuesday, 5 December
Time: 15:30 – 17:00 (Dubai)
Location: Joint MDB Pavilion (Opportunity Area, Building Code OR02G3); Blue Zone
The session will be kicked off by the World Bank, followed by a presentation of the LTS Program outlining the importance of long-term strategies to chart low-carbon and climate resilient pathways for countries towards a net-zero future. It will set the context for the first panel, where various speakers from recipient countries will share country experiences and will be backed up by political and funding support of initial donors such as Germany.
In the second panel, various speakers will outline the transformative added value of MDB cooperation towards more commitments to meet the 2030 agenda. Throughout this session, a combination of voices from donors, recipient countries and MDBs will help forge a strong alliance for ambition to ensure a just and inclusive transition towards a resilient, net-zero future. The session will be facilitated by the Executive Director of 2050 Pathway Platform and European Climate Foundation, a major philanthropic initiative working to help tackle the climate crisis.
