The EBRD Capital and Financial Markets Development team is pleased to invite you to a high-level, one-day conference in Nairobi on Monday, 21 September 2026, under the theme “Supporting Kenya’s next capital markets growth story.” Running from 08.30 to 17.00, the event will bring together approximately 80 – 100 participants, including policy makers, regulators, financial institutions, issuers, investors, DFIs, brokers, asset managers, rating agencies, legal advisers and market infrastructure representatives.
Designed as an interactive platform for dialogue and exchange, the conference will open with a plenary bringing together EBRD senior management alongside CEOs of key regulators and financial sector institutions in Kenya, including the Capital Markets Authority (CMA) and the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), followed by a keynote on building the next generation of African capital markets and a further plenary exploring the shift from bank lending to capital markets financing. The plenaries will be followed by breakout sessions expected to cover themes such as secondary market liquidity and market making, financial sector reform, new product development, sustainable finance, money markets, derivatives and repo markets and capital market support programmes for corporate issuers.
