The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing a US$ 20 million loan to Uludag Icecek Turk A.S (Uludag Beverage) in Türkiye to finance a new warehouse at its Yenice plant, as well as green investments that include solar panels and wastewater recycling.

The proceeds from the loan will be used to fund a wastewater recovery facility at the company’s Caybasi factory and solar panel investments for both factories, reducing Uludag Beverage’s carbon emissions and water consumption.

Uludag Beverage will also commit to revising its gender equality policies and practices and aim for a significant increase in its female workforce, including in managerial positions.
