Growing peppers with smarter technology in Armenia
Growing peppers at 1,500 metres: new technology is helping Armenia’s Nuvo Vilaj use water more efficiently and harvest for up to nine months a year.
At 1,500 metres above sea level, Armenian greenhouse farm Nuvo Vilaj harvests peppers for up to nine months a year. With support from the EBRD and the European Union (EU), the company has invested in new technology to improve growing conditions, use water more efficiently and grow high-quality produce.
The investment was financed by Ardshinbank through the EU4Business-EBRD Credit Line, complemented by an EU-funded grant and dedicated technical support.
