Project Description
An equity investment in Avallon MBO Fund III RAIF (the "Fund"), a private equity fund primarily investing in small and medium-sized enterprises ("SMEs") in Poland.
Project Objectives
The Fund will seek to achieve long-term capital growth by making equity and quasi-equity investments in SMEs. The Fund will seek to acquire controlling interests in SMEs, empowering managers and building leading regional enterprises.
Transition Impact
The project will contribute to increasing the availability of private equity capital in Poland which will strengthen the resilience of the corporate sector and help promote private and entrepreneurial initiatives. Additionally, the Fund is expected to increase the competitiveness of its portfolio companies.

Categorised FI (ESP 2014). The Fund will be required to comply with EBRD's Performance Requirements 2, 4 and 9, adopt and implement EBRD's Environmental and Social Risk Management Procedures for Active Equity Funds and submit Annual Environmental and Social Reports to the Bank.
