Solving Batumi's solid waste problem. The Gonio landfill in Batumi is the largest and most dangerous dumpsite in Georgia.

Together with the Swedish International Development Co-operation Agency (SIDA) and the Sustainable Infrastructure Fund*, we’ve financed the first sanitary landfill in the country, in line with EUopens in a new tab standards.

Thanks to this project, the Gonioopens in a new tab landfill will be cleaned and closed, and people like Gocha will be offered new job opportunities in the new facility.
