EBRD renovates its first apartment building in the Western Balkans
Temperatures in Bosnia and Herzegovina can drop to around -20 degrees Celsius during winters. This is when the heating is turned up and electricity bills grow. The residents of an apartment building in Sarajevo teamed up to make their building a more comfortable and energy efficient home thanks to an investment in new thermal insulation and energy efficient windows.
The project was finance under the EBRD’s Green Economy Financing Facility (GEFF) with the support from European Union, the Western Balkans Investment Framework and the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance.
