EBRD Board of Directors approves three new governance policies

The EBRD Board of Directors has approved the following three governance policies: the Environmental and Social Policy, the Public Information Policy and the Project Complaint Mechanism.

They were approved at a meeting of the EBRD Board of Directors held on 7 May 2014.

The policies have been posted on the EBRD website, along with a report on stakeholder engagement for each policy.

The revision process was the most extensive policy consultation initiative the Bank has undertaken, and included public meetings in seven countries, client surveys, peer IFI reviews, focus groups on particular topics, discussions with industry associations and the Environmental and Social Advisory Council.

The Bank would like to thank all those who participated in the review and revision process. The new policies will go into force six months after approval.
