EBRD Board Directors visit Kosovo

A delegation of the EBRD Board of Directors will pay a visit to Kosovo from 22-24 October 2014.

The visit will provide the Board Directors with an opportunity to meet the state leadership, starting with President Atifete Jahjaga; Governor of the Central Bank Bedri Hamza; the Mayors of Pristina and Gracanica; key political decision-makers, representatives of civil society, local businesses and foreign investors, as well as international financial institutions and the diplomatic community. The delegation will visit the Bank’s clients and business partners in the capital, Pristina and in Rahovec.

Representatives of the EBRD Board will include:

  • Raphael Bello representing France
  • Evren Dilekli representing Turkey, Romania, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyz Republic
  • Makoto Honda representing Japan
  • Kalin Mitrev representing Bulgaria, Poland, Albania
  • Artem Shevalev representing Switzerland, Ukraine, Liechtenstein, Turkmenistan, Serbia, Montenegro, Moldova
  • Luyen Tran representing the USA
  • Paul Vlaanderen representing the Netherlands, Mongolia, FYR Macedonia, Armenia
  • Ove Jensen representing Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, Kosovo
  • Seán Donlon representing Ireland, Denmark, Lithuania, Kosovo

They will be accompanied by Anton Kobakov, EBRD Head of the Pristina Resident Office; Holger Muent, EBRD Director, Western Balkans; and Oleg Levitin, EBRD Senior Political Counsellor.

The EBRD began investing in Kosovo in 1999. To date it has signed 37 projects in the country with a net cumulative business volume of more than €89 million. Kosovo became a member of the EBRD in December 2012.
