The proposed project will involve financing of a new greenfield investment for the production lines for juice, carbonated drinks as well as financing regional expansions.

Introduce greater competition and innovation by increasing the competitive pressures over the existing players via the additional volume and range of products produced under the project.
- Have a strong demonstration effect by attracting foreign investments to the non-natural resources/energy sector in Kazakhstan.
The Client
JSC RG Brands is a leading beverage producer and consumer goods distributor, incorporated in Kazakhstan. The Company consists of four production companies producing juices, soft drinks, tea packaging and milk as well as two distribution companies in Kazakhstan and Kyrgyz Republic.
EBRD Finance
Total financing for the project of USD 60 million long-term loan million.
Project Cost
USD 107 million.
Environmental Impact
This project has been screened B/1 requiring an environmental audit and analysis. Independent consultants have been retained by the Company to undertake these studies according to Terms of Reference provided by the Bank. The studies will assess the environmental risks and liabilities associated with the Company's operations and compliance with both national and EU standards, and provide recommendations, as necessary, to address any risk or non-compliance issues. Any such recommendations will be formulated into an agreed environmental action plan and the Company will provide reporting to the Bank on the implementation of the EAP. This PSD will be updated, as appropriate, following the completion of environmental due diligence.
