Project Description
A EUR 50 million loan to Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria ("RLBG").
Project Objectives
RLBG will use the loan to provide lease financing to privately-owned micro-, small- and mediumsized enterprises ("MSMEs") in Bulgaria, to finance the lease of equipment, trucks and trailers, light commercial vehicles and fleet transactions with passenger cars.
Transition Impact
The loan will support the recovery of the Bulgarian leasing market by enabling RLBG to expand midand long-term lease financing to its existing and new MSME clients.

Raiffeisen Leasing Bulgaria is the third largest leasing company in Bulgaria with total assets of EUR 155 million and total equity of EUR 9 million as at end-March 2016. It is a fully owned subsidiary of
the group of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Oesterreich, Austria.

Categorised FI. RLBG has been applying the EBRD's E&S Risk Management Procedures for Leasing Activities to their leasing portfolio which is deemed to be Low E&S risk. The company will be required to continue to comply with EBRD's Perfrormance Requirements 2, 4 and 9 and submit annual environmental and social reports to EBRD.
