Mr Strasser started his career with the law firm of Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton, followed by almost seventeen years at the EBRD, most recently as Chief Counsel in the Office of the General Counsel. After leaving the EBRD, he worked for several years as General Counsel for a large private power developer in the South-East Mediterranean region, where he also helped develop integrity and corporate governance standards on anti-bribery and anti-corruption.
He re-joined the EBRD in 2013 as Deputy Chief Compliance Officer and Director responsible for policy and ethics, following which he spent two and a half years in the Kiev office of the EBRD working on governance projects, including the establishment of the Office of the Business Ombudsman for Ukraine. Juraj re-joined the Office of the Chief Compliance Officer from January 2017.
