GENERAL PROCUREMENT NOTICE
The Tunisian National Sanitation Utility, ONAS intends using the proceeds of a loan from the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and the African Development Bank [the Banks] for a project to rehabilitate and upgrade the sanitation network in 30 secondary cities (less than 10,000 inhabitants). The proposed project, which has a total estimated cost of EUR 160 million, will require the procurement of the following goods, works and services:
The project includes:
- the construction of 19 new waste water treatment plants;
- upgrade and rehabilitation of sanitation network systems including 126 kilometres of new networks and construction of 16 new pumping stations; and
- related consulting services.
Tendering for the above contracts is expected to begin in the first quarter of 2022.
Contracts to be financed with the proceeds of a loan from the Bank will be subject to the national procurement system as per the African Development Bank Procurement Policy Framework and will be open to firms and individuals from any country. The proceeds of the Bank's loan will not be used for the purpose of any payment to persons or entities, of for any import of goods, if such payment or import is prohibited by a decision of the United Nations Security Council taken under Chapter
