Managing Director, Impact and Partnerships

Ines Rocha was appointed as the Managing Director for Impact and Partnerships in December 2021, her team is part of Vice Presidency of Policy and Partnerships. In her role Ms Rocha represents the views of the department on Transition Impact and the Additionality of EBRD operations. She advises the President and senior management on Transition Results Measurement and Transition Impact and regularly reports on the Bank’s transition results and impact.

Ms Rocha has over 20 years of experience in development and in the financial industry. She joined the EBRD in 2005 integrating the Treasury department and later moved to the Financial Institutions team covering EU Banks, structured products and non-bank financial institutions across EBRD’s Countries of Operation. In January 2018 Ms Rocha was appointed Director for Financial Products on the SME Finance & Development team designing advisory and investment products for SMEs with donor support. The SME F&D Group has a mandate to grow and expand the Small Business Initiative at the EBRD through an integrated toolbox of products in particular supporting under-served groups such as Women-led SMEs (via the Women in Business Programme).

Before EBRD, Ms Rocha worked as an economist in the Central Bank of Portugal focussing on international matters and also in investment banking in London.

A Portuguese and British national, Ines holds a MSc degree in Economics from the London School of Economics.
