The EBRD is in Glasgow for the 2021 United Nations Climate Change conference (COP26), encouraging our countries to boost their ambitions for a net-zero world and highlighting its own role as a pioneer in the delivery of climate finance.
"The stakes are extremely high,” EBRD President Odile Renaud-Basso says in a new video. “And the world needs to be united to deal with the challenges.”
“Countries need to set for themselves ambitious targets and the EBRD stands ready to support them through financing and policy advice.”
“COP is challenge, opportunity and partnership,” says Harry Boyd-Carpenter, our Managing Director, Green Economy and Climate Action.
“Challenge because there’s so much to do and so little time.
“Opportunity because this year the world has really lifted its level of ambition.
“Partnership because we can only do this together: you, me, everyone.”
