2022 Annual Report provides an overview of 16 cases managed during the year through problem solving and compliance, activities related to access promotion with CSOs and project affected communities, internal awareness raising sessions with Bank staff and management, and knowledge sharing with peer institutions.

The Independent Project Accountability Mechanism started its operation on 1 July 2020, replacing the Project Complaint Mechanism (PCM). Following the provisions of the Project Accountability Policy (2019), IPAM brings to the EBRD more independent, predictable and transparent processing of environmental and social complaints related to projects funded by the Bank. The 2020 Annual Report provides detailed information on the new model, the 19 cases managed by IPAM in its first year and the activities undertaken to promote access and transparency.
