Project description

The Bank has an equity holding in ERD, who are currently planning the development of the Bayan Khundii gold mine deposit in south western Mongolia.  As part of the ESAP agreed with the client at the time of the Bank’s investment, ERD agreed to develop an Environmental and Social Impact Assessment to the Bank’s standards, and disclose such for 60 days prior to review by the Bank’s Board.
