Fostering the Sustainable Development Goals
Being able to share knowledge and lessons learned is a key part of any development programme. For more than two decades the EBRD’s Legal Transition Programme has used the Law in Transition journal to do just that: report on what it has learned and how it has helped create an investor-friendly legal environment in the economies where the Bank invests.
More recently we have expanded the scope of our work to reflect that the Sustainable Development Goals themselves have a strong legal dimension and that legal and institutional reforms play a crucial role in achieving them. During these times of coronavirus, it is especially important to keep achievement of the SDGs in focus.
