Launched in 2016 to boost reforms in Ukraine, the Ukraine Reforms Architecture (URA) project has attracted dozens of young reformers into the country’s public administration.
Armed with rich experience from their previous careers and an unwavering determination to help improve living conditions for their fellow Ukrainians, they have been driving implementation in as many as 18 key reform areas.
The more than 150 young reformers are working in 7 Reform Support Teams embedded in Ukraine’s ministries and public agencies, as well as in the Reforms Delivery Office under the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
Since the start of their operations, they have contributed to such critical reforms as the corporate governance of state-owned enterprises, privatisation, public administration reform, anti-corruption, healthcare or energy sector reform.
The URA project is supported by the EBRD’s Ukraine Stabilisation and Sustainable Growth Multi-Donor Account. The contributors to the Account are Denmark, the European Union, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
